NOW AVAILABLE - IV Vitamin and Nutrient Infusion Therapy in

What is IV Vitamin and Nutrient Infusion Therapy?

IV Vitamin and Nutrient Therapy, also known as intravenous infusions, involves bypassing the digestive system by delivering essential vitamins and nutrients that are placed into a large bag of IV fluids and infused directly into the bloodstream through an IV placed in your vein. This method allows for faster and more efficient absorption of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other nutrients compared to oral supplementation.

Benefits of IV Vitamin and Nutrient Infusion Therapy:

  • Improved energy levels
  • Weight management
  • Reduced stress
  • Enhanced beauty, skin, and nails
  • Keeping the mind sharp
  • Better digestion
  • Enhanced immunity
  • Hydration for hangovers and recovery from illness
  • Improved pain from migraines and other forms or discomfort

Treatment Process:

IV vitamin and nutrient therapy begins with an initial consultation where you and a qualified health professional discuss your health history, symptoms, and goals of therapy. Based on this information, a personalized plan is developed specifically for your unique needs. This plan will guide you towards optimal health and well-being through the use of different vitamin and nutrient recipes tailor to your needs. Additionally, you'll receive ongoing support and guidance throughout your treatment, ensuring you have the tools and resources necessary to achieve lasting success.

Who is a good candidate for IV vitamin and nutrient infusion therapy?

  • Have difficulty absorbing nutrients due to digestive issues: This includes people with conditions like Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, or celiac disease.
  • Are feeling run down or in a weight loss program: Individuals with chronic illnesses, recovering from a recent illness, or that weight loss program have you feeling tired and run down can benefit from IV vitamin, amino acid, and nutrient infusions to restore proper nutrient  and energy levels.
  • Have specific nutrient deficiencies: IV therapy can be used to address individual deficiencies in vitamins, minerals, or other essential compounds.
  • Desire a quick and efficient way to boost nutrient intake: Athletes, marathon runners, bodybuilders, busy professionals, or individuals seeking to optimize their health and performance may opt for IV therapy to ensure they are getting the necessary nutrients.

What vitamin and nutrients are offered at Reflections Wellness and Spa of Berea?

  • Vitamin C – Studies have been performed that indicate several of the benefits of intravenous vitamin C. In the critically ill, vitamin C administered intravenously may help in the management of sepsis; it may also be of use in managing certain kinds of cancer. For individuals in good health, intravenous vitamins may serve to boost immunity and increase energy levels.
  • Vitamin B complex – Several vitamins make up the B complex group of vitamins. Some of these vitamins are Vitamin B1 (Thiamine), Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin), Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide), Vitamin B5 (Dexpanthenol), and Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6). These vitamins play an essential role in proper DNA functioning, energy production, metabolism, immunity, and a healthy nervous system.  Other important roles include enhanced function of the digestive tract, vitamin D and amino acid synthesis, and providing healthy skin, nails, and hair.
  • Vitamin B12 – This is also known as Methylcobalamin, the active form of B12. It serves many purposes in the human body; however, its primary function is in the production of red blood cells. A deficiency of this vitamin may result in a condition known as macrocytic megaloblastic anemia.   Vitamin B12 is also associated with fat and carbohydrate metabolism and protein synthesis.
  • Folic acid – This is also known as folate. Similar to methylcobalamin, folic acid helps in the development of red blood cells. Its deficiency may also result in macrocytic megaloblastic anemia.
  • Calcium – Calcium is necessary for the development of strong and healthy bones. People who are lacking in calcium in their body may end up with a condition known as osteoporosis.   Calcium is metabolized throughout the body. It assists in heart function, blood coagulation, neuromuscular reactions and more.
  • Zinc -  Zinc is a powerful element that plays an important role in the regulation of immunity and is considered to be a key anti-inflammatory agent in the human body. Another less understood role of Zinc is it's affect on the development and maintenance of healthy skin.
  • Magnesium -  Magnesium chloride is a mineral that is important in maintaining the function of our nerves, cells, bones, muscles, and heart. It plays an integral role in the synthesis of energy within cells, creating DNA, and supporting bone density. Also known as “the relaxation mineral”, magnesium may help with lowering stress and anxiety and getting a better nights rest.
  • Glutathione – Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant and performs several critical roles in the body. One of the reasons why Glutathione is so important for optimum health is that it’s present in every cell in the body. One way antioxidants like glutathione help maintain good physical health is by neutralizing free radicals, which can cause cellular damage through oxidation. Since glutathione is naturally present within all types of cells, it is considered one of the most important antioxidants in the human body.
  • NAD+ -  NAD+ is found in all cells of the body and is vital for cell function and viability.  It plays a major role in the chemical process of generating energy.  As we age, our body’s NAD levels gradually drop due to inflammation/oxidative stress caused by environmental factors. This drop in NAD+ can cause fatigue, mental fog, dull and tired skin, and poor sleep quality. Boosting NAD+ may help manage a wide spectrum of diseases, ranging from diabetes to cancer.   Research has shown that NAD+ may have potential for fighting the effects of addiction. Excessive alcohol and drug use diminishes the amount of NAD naturally found in the body; by reintroducing it through NAD infusion therapy, cravings and withdrawal effects may be reduced as a result. Additionally, NAD+ has been shown to boost serotonin, aiding with symptoms brought on by depression and anxiety.

Important Considerations:

While IV vitamin and nutrients offer numerous benefits, it's important to note that it is not a replacement for a balanced diet. It should be considered a complementary therapy used alongside a healthy eating plan and regular exercise. Additionally, it's crucial to consult with a qualified healthcare professional to determine if IV infusions are right for you and to ensure safe and effective administration.

Please note that this is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult with a qualified healthcare professional to discuss your individual needs and suitability for IV infusions.  These infusions are not FDA approved for any given indications of treatment and are not considered a medical necessity.  It is understood that  you are here seeking IV infusion and/or injection therapy voluntarily to assist with certain symptoms or ailments that you may be experiencing and not a cure for any disease or illness.
